What information do we collect from you?
When you browse the Site, we automatically receive certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, internet protocol (IP) address, and operating system. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we automatically receive information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.
Additionally, when you purchase something from the store or attempt to do so, we collect, as part of the purchasing process, the personal information that you provide to us, including your name, address, email address, phone number, and payment information (including credit card numbers and PayPal information, depending on your chosen payment method). We refer to this information as “Order Information”.
Consent and how it works.
When you provide us with Order Information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to opt-out. If, after you opt-in to our Site registration or email contact list, and you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, and for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do we use your information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to communicate with you and to screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Do we share your information with others?
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information in the ways described above.
We may engage third parties to perform services in connection with the operation of our business. Examples of such services include payment processing and authorization, fraud protection and credit risk reduction, order fulfillment and shipping, marketing, Web site evaluation, and data analysis. We provide Personal Information to these third parties, but we only authorize them to use this information in connection with the services that they perform for us.
